President/CEO
Ken is a seasoned leader in education specializing in Provincial and First Nations systems with over 10 years of executive experience. As President and CEO of Yellow Sky & Associates Ltd., Ken has successfully supported education systems in Saskatchewan as principal, superintendent and director of education. Ken has led initiatives in First Nations communities in areas of finance, governance, and policy.
Notably, through Education Transformation, Ken led the development of policy and governance frameworks for the Meadow Lake Tribal Council and was pivotal in the creation of the proposed First Nations School Authority model. He also co-developed a provincial strategy (ESSP) to improve First Nation and Métis educational outcomes, this strategy was founded on a professional development platform that targeted school-based leadership across the province and advocated for the First Nation School Division Model during the Treasury Review.
Ken is known for his exceptional communication and leadership skills, deeply committed to transparency, accountability, and fostering collaborative relationships with community stakeholders. He holds a Master of Education from the University of Saskatchewan, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta. Ken is a proud member of Thunderchild First Nation.

As the former Director of Education for the Big River First Nation Education Authority, Dabney has excelled in building relationships with stakeholders, leading teams, and fostering collaboration.
Known for implementing innovative curricular and extracurricular programs, Dabney has significantly improved student engagement and academic outcomes. Dabney's commitment to Indigenous language and cultural revitalization has been a cornerstone of their career.
Dabney holds a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies, a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education with specializations in Indigenous Studies and English, a Post Graduate Special Education Certificate, and an Indigenous Language Certificate from the University of Saskatchewan. Dabney is a proud member of Big River First Nation.

His expertise encompasses employee and labour relations, organizational development, health and safety, pension and benefits administration, career planning, recruitment, job evaluation, policy development, and HR strategic planning.
Dean is recognized for his strategic approach and commitment to fostering meaningful conversations that align with organizational goals. His leadership is characterized by a dedication to creating connections through honest and shared visions. Dean holds a Master of Educational Administration from the University of Saskatchewan, a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Regina, and several professional designations, including Canadian Management Professional, Registered Professional Recruiter, and Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).

Vice President - Education Services
Heather is a dedicated educational leader with over 23 years of experience in the field, dedicating her practice to the benefit of Indigenous peoples and their respective communities. Her experience includes serving as a Superintendent of Student Support Services with the Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority, Senior Director of Education and Superintendent of Special Education with the Meadow Lake Tribal Council, and Special Education Consultant with Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division.
Known for her effective interpersonal skills and collaborative approach, she has developed strong relationships with key organizations and facilitated multiple large and small scale community consultations. Heather's expertise includes proposal and report writing, executive management, holistic program development, executive coaching, and strategic planning. Heather holds a Bachelor of Education degree with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan. Heather is a proud member of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.

Sean is a distinguished educator, researcher, and in Indigenous education and teacher development. As an Associate Professor at the University of Alberta and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Regina, he has made significant contributions to advancing teacher education and Indigenous studies. Sean's career is marked by numerous awards and accolades, including the Pat Clifford Award for Early Career Research in Education and the Narrative SIG American Educational Research Association Outstanding Publication and Early Research Award. Sean is the CEO and Founding Partner of Growing Young Movers Youth Development, demonstrating remarkable leadership and dedication to youth empowerment.
His work as a Research Associate with Moving Well Incorporated and Red Worn Runners Inc. underscores his commitment to promoting Indigenous youth leadership and wellness. Sean holds a Ph.D. in Elementary Education, an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology, and a B.Ed. in Social Studies/Native Studies from the University of Alberta. Sean is a proud member of Montreal Lake Cree Nation.

Tim Russell is an experienced agricultural operations and business leader with over 25 years of expertise in farm management, agribusiness services, and equipment operations. As a former co-owner and operator of RR Acres Ltd. and Russell’s Ag Services, Tim managed large-scale farming and custom spraying operations, overseeing crop production, staff supervision, and machinery maintenance.
His experience spans both the operational and business sides of agriculture—from analyzing farm systems and logistics to managing payroll, accounting, and client relations through MasterVaxx Ltd. Known for his hands-on leadership and practical insight, Tim supports Yellow Sky & Associates projects with deep knowledge of agricultural operations, infrastructure planning, and rural enterprise management.

Bart is a dedicated and experienced IT professional and entrepreneur with over 25 years of expertise in Information Technology and project management. As a seasoned project manager and leader, he has overseen numerous large-scale projects, with a particular focus on budgeting, research, reporting, and clear, professional communication.
Bart worked with a First Nation community in Saskatchewan for 22 years, including 14 years as IT Director. He also served as Network Administrator for the Northwest School Division, where he managed the networks for four schools and the main administrative office. In 2008, Bart achieved a major milestone by building Canada’s largest WiFi hotspot, spanning 90 miles in backhauls and covering 28 square miles, in collaboration with Motorola.
Bart’s leadership approach is driven by a commitment to clear communication, continuous learning, and a philosophy of under-promising and over-delivering, ensuring the highest levels of client satisfaction.

Heidi Abramyk is an accomplished communications and governance leader with over 15 years of experience supporting Indigenous governments, non-profits, and public sector organizations. As Vice President of Business Services at Yellow Sky & Associates, she provides strategic leadership in governance modernization, organizational development, and communications strategy for First Nations and Indigenous-led clients across Saskatchewan and beyond.
A proud Métis woman and descendant of Red River and Southbranch Métis families of Fish Creek and Batoche, Heidi holds a Master of Arts in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University and professional designations as a Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP) and Chartered Marketer (CM). An award-winning leader recognized for excellence in inclusive leadership and strategic communication, she also serves as Vice Chair of the Saskatoon SPCA, Co-Chair of the Indigenous Peoples Resilience Fund, and President of IABC Saskatoon.

Steve has worked in the public sector in Saskatchewan for over 20 years including extensive work in northern and remote communities. Steve holds several accreditations in the field including Buildings System Technician and Building System Administrator from SIAST, and Systems Maintenance Technician and Systems Maintenance Administrator from BOMI Canada (Buildings Operation and Maintenance Institute). Steve is a proud member of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.

Known for his adeptness in communication and leadership, Rob is committed to fostering educational excellence and collaborative relationships. He holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Regina.
